DR GREGORY FOX
Dr Gregory Fox graduated with BA (Hons) in Greek and Latin in 1963 from the University of Sydney. In 1964 he gained his Diploma of Education, concurrently auditing Biblical Hebrew. From 1969 onwards he and his wife were sent as missionary linguists to the Malakula people of Vanuatu, where he translated various biblical texts in the vernacular languages. Other languages studied by Greg include Ancient Aramaic at the University of Queensland, as well as embryonic studies in German, Spanish, the Nda Këka language of W. Ambrym, Vanuatu, the Kaimare language of W. Papua New Guinea and the Kisii language of W. Kenya. In 2005, he was conferred with the degree of Doctor of Divinity (honoris causa) by the Fiji College of Theology and Evangelism for his work in Pacific and Classical Languages. In 2006 he was awarded the degree of PhD by the Dublin Metropolitan University in recognition of his published works.

Current Research: Plutarch’s Life of Aristides and a translation of Demetrius Cydonius’ speech against the handing back of Kallipolis (Gallipoli) to the Turks.
