SCHOOL OF BYZANTINE MUSIC

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos of Australia, the School of Byzantine Music was established in February 2005 as a centre of music learning under the auspices of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and St Andrew's Greek Orthodox Theological College.

The School of Byzantine Music offers musical education towards a Diploma of Byzantine Music. This is an ecclesiastical credential which does not carry accreditation status from any civil authority in Australia. Furthermore, it is not related in any way to the theological education and training offered at various levels through St Andrew's Greek Orthodox Theological College and accredited with the Sydney College of Divinity.
