Our Mission

Through faithful adherence to the Orthodox Christian Tradition, St Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Theological College strives to serve both the Church and the broader community. This mission is lived out through theological education, and through the ministries of its Faculty and alumni.

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.

How We Serve

St Andrew’s fulfils this mission in many ways. It provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs for candidates to the priesthood, as well as for scholars, teachers, and lay people. The College promotes in-depth theological research and reflection, and it organises lectures, research seminars, workshops, conferences, and retreats.

It publishes the academic journal Phronema alongside books, CDs, and other educational material through St Andrew’s Orthodox Press. It communicates information on Orthodox Christianity through its Faculty, its library, the Archdiocese bookstore, as well as through media outlets such as the Voice of Orthodoxy periodical and the Greek-Australian VEMA newspaper.

The College also supports the Church in mission, evangelism, monasticism, family life, social work, and ecumenical relations. It maintains interaction with universities and tertiary centres of theological education, and it commits itself to the ongoing demands of civil accreditation through its membership in the Australian University College of Divinity.
