On Saturday 26 December, College alumnus Asterios Zouriakas (Bachelor of Theology, 2001), was ordained to the holy diaconate by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios in the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation (Redfern, NSW). His Eminence Metropolitan Seraphim of Sebasteia, Their Graces Bishops Iakovos of Miletoupolis, Emilianos of Meloa and Elpidios of Kyaneon, as well as many clergymen of Sydney, were also present. Deacon Asterios holds teaching qualifications and has worked for more than 15 years as a secondary school teacher. He served as the Protopsaltis of the Cathedral from 2000 until just prior to his ordination, and has been the choirmaster of the Australian Byzantine Choir for a number of years. He and his wife, Panayiota, are blessed with four children.

Application interviews and brief vocal tests have concluded for entry in 2021. Enrolment enquiries for 2022 are welcome throughout the year.
