At the kind invitation of Oakleigh Grammar, one of two Greek Orthodox Colleges in Melbourne, St Andrew’s organised a stall for the annual Senior School Tertiary, Careers, & Employment Expo. This was a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness and promote the work of the Theological College and offer the more than 200 students from Years 10, 11 and 12 information on courses and tertiary study pathways, alongside other universities, TAFE institutions and recruitment agents for public services such as Victoria Police and the Australian Army. The stall displayed religious books including titles from St Andrew’s Orthodox Press and other publications of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese. It was manned by College alumnus Revd Fr Phillip Papagiannopoulos (BTh, 2020), parish priest of the Cathedral Church of our Lady ‘Axion Estin,’ Northcote, within the Diocese of Chora, who also distributed small gifts to each enquiring student. A heartfelt note of thanks to Oakleigh Grammar for the invitation to participate in this very well organised event.
