Residential Formation Program

As part of their Formation Program, the first year Bachelor of Theology students visited St Ioannis Church in Parramatta where they were warmly received by the Parish Priest, Fr Dimitri Kokkinos. Father Dimitri led the group in a Paraklesis Service to the Theotokos before giving the students a guided tour of the campus and discussing the ministries of the parish and its future prospects. Finally, Fr Dimitri offered the cohort a reflection on the nature of the priesthood and the priestly calling based on the writings of St John of Kronstadt and his own experiences. A thoughtful and edifying conversation ensued. Many thanks must go to Presbytera Thekla and the Philoptochos for organising a delicious fasting morning tea and lunch for the visitors.
